Our Process

Below you'll find a straightforward, stepwise explanation of our process and prices,

so you know exactly what to expect.

1 | Initial Consultation

Welcome to our initial consultation. A crucial first step on your journey toward understanding your neurotype. During this session, our primary focus is getting to know you better. Think of it as a friendly conversation with a purpose.

The goal of the initial consultation is to determine if a full assessment is warranted. By investing this time upfront, we aim to avoid any unnecessary costs associated with assessments that might not be essential for your situation. We don't want to waste your time, or charge you for conducting assessments that aren't required or helpful for you. It's a thoughtful and cost-effective approach that prioritises your well-being.

When you book an initial consultation session, you will receive an intake and consent form via email. It is helpful if you can complete this form prior to your appointment with us to maximise the use of your consultation time. However, if this is difficult for you, we are happy to assist you to complete the form before beginning your consultation.

During the consultation meeting, we will skillfully guide you through an interview and screening process. This isn't about paperwork or ticking boxes; it's about creating a space where you can comfortably share your thoughts, concerns, challenges and experiences. We believe that each individual is unique, and this session helps us to tailor our approach to meet your specific needs.

Rest assured, we are committed to creating an atmosphere of trust, confidentiality, and respect. We're here to support you, and this first meeting is all about uncovering the insights needed to determine if a full assessment is the right next step for you.

If the assessment is for a young person under 16, we prefer this initial consultation to be a parent-only session, so we can gather history and talk about what's been happening from the parent's perspective, and then focus on the young person's perspective in the assessment observation session. Of course, if the young person is uncomfortable with this and wishes to be present, that is absolutely ok.

2 | Diagnostic Assessment Process

Embarking on the clinical assessment process with us is a structured yet personalised journey designed to provide comprehensive insights into your unique neurotype. Here's a breakdown of the process:

If after your consultation meeting you decide a full assessment is the way you want to go, you'll begin by scheduling your assessment—the cornerstone of your journey, and we're here to guide you through the steps ahead.

Book Assessment:
After your initial consult, we'll give you access to your clinician's calendar to book in your assessment. If the assessment is for a young person under 16, this will include an observation session with the young person (either in-person or via telehealth).

Receive Online Forms:
Once your assessment is booked, you'll receive a set of online forms. Your thoughtful responses play a crucial role in completing the picture, ensuring that every detail is considered in the assessment process.

Scoring, Interpretation, Differential Diagnosis, and Diagnostic Report:
Once all your forms are submitted, we get to work. We meticulously score, interpret, diagnose, and craft a comprehensive diagnostic report. This report is your roadmap, outlining insights, diagnoses, and personalised recommendations. Expect it to land in your inbox, offering clarity and a path forward.

Rest assured, this process is not just about diagnoses—it's about understanding, support, and empowering you on your journey. If you'd like to discuss your results, talk about what supports might be helpful for you, and work out where best to go from here, you can book a follow-up session and we'll navigate this path with you.

3 | Follow-up and Support

Whilst receiving a diagnosis can be validating, for some people, it might also feel confronting, or overwhelming, and sometimes it's just difficult to work out what to do next. A follow-up appointment will allow you to have any questions about your diagnosis answered, and we'll help you navigate the process of identifying what types of supports and accommodations might best suit your needs, and how to go about getting them.

4 | Pricing and Payment

We keep our costs as low as possible by taking payment for the initial consultation online, so you're paying for our professional service, not our admin time.

Initial consultation appointments are paid for upon booking and are non-refundable. But don't worry, if you're unable to attend your booked appointment time because you're sick, or for another unavoidable reason, you can reschedule without any extra costs or fees involved.

The diagnostic assessment fee is payable upon booking. If a further observation session is required, it is included in the cost of the assessment. You can book and pay by credit card online, or if you prefer, we can send you an invoice which you can pay by direct credit to our bank account.
