Melinda is a senior clinical psychologist who works with clients from diverse backgrounds and identities. Melinda provides neuroaffirming, gender-affirming care and tailors therapy to support each person’s goals, pace, and lived experience.

Melinda has particular expertise in trauma, attachment, and eating disorders, and frequently supports clients who have grown up with unrecognised or unsupported neurodivergence.
Professional background
Melinda has worked across private practice, government organisations and schools. Melinda previously ran a private practice for ten years and has developed and delivered programs to support and educate foster carers in attachment and trauma-informed care.
Melinda has undertaken extensive training in trauma therapy and has completed formal training in eating disorder treatment, including family-based therapy. Melinda is also trained in EMDR and works with many clients who have experienced complex trauma.
Outside of work
Outside of clinical practice, Melinda values self-care and mindfulness. Melinda enjoys spending time at the beach, swimming in the sea, practising yoga, dancing, and connecting with loved ones. Melinda also shares time with a much-loved cat, Katniss.

Melinda prioritises developing and maintaining a strong therapeutic relationship, recognising this as central to meaningful change. Therapy is collaborative, respectful, and paced according to each client’s readiness and goals.
Melinda primarily uses Schema Therapy and integrates mindfulness and values-based approaches where appropriate. Melinda provides neuroaffirming and gender-affirming care and supports clients in understanding their experiences within the context of attachment, trauma, and neurodiversity.
