Professional background
Georgia lives and works on Arrernte Country in Mparntwe/Alice Springs, providing neuroaffirming autism assessments and therapy. Georgia has worked across both urban and remote settings, supporting neurodivergent children, teenagers, and adults, as well as families navigating burnout, communication differences, and trauma.
Georgia holds dual qualifications in speech pathology and narrative therapy, enabling an integrated approach to assessment and ongoing therapeutic support. Georgia also brings lived experience as a neurodivergent and chronically ill person, informing a deeply empathetic and respectful practice.
Outside of work
Georgia has a special interest in birds and lives with two budgies and a cockatiel. Georgia enjoys learning about and spending time with birds, as well as bushwalking, reading, and connecting with the surrounding desert landscape.
Clinical approach and services
Georgia’s work is grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and decolonising frameworks. Georgia uses a gentle, person-centred approach that honours lived experience, identity, and individual context.
Georgia draws on strengths-based and neuroaffirming frameworks for autism assessment and therapy, including the MIGDAS approach. Narrative therapy principles support a focus on separating people from problems and recognising each person as the expert in their own life. Georgia’s integrated practice supports communication, identity development, relationships, and overall wellbeing.
